Koreatown, or
K-Town, is an ethnic Korean enclave in Midtown Manhattan, centered on West 32nd
Street between Madison Avenue and the intersection of Sixth Avenue and
Broadway, which is known as Greeley Square. The neighborhood features over 150
businesses of various types and sizes, ranging from small restaurants and
beauty salons to large branches of Korean banking firms. Naturally, there are plenty
of Korean barbecues, but also of interest are Asian dessert shops, cutting-edge
karaoke and a bookstore that sells Korean-language literature.
If you are an Asian food
fan and rich, K-Town is the perfect spot for you: easy transportation, endless nightlives,
and AMAZING Korean food all over the place. The rent can fluctuate dramatically
here but if you are lucky enough, you may be able to find a studio around
$2,000 per month.
