Harry Potter Fan? Enjoy the play - The Cursed Child

One of the must-do things in New York is watching a Broadway show. A little bit different from Broadway musicals, the 2018 Tonny winner Harry Potter and The Cursed Child is a Broadway play and it is the only Broadway play available in NYC. Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a new play by Jack Thorne, received its world premiere in June 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London, where it plays to sold-out houses. Now you can enjoy this play from $80 in New York!

Address:
Lyric Theatre
214 West 43rd Street

Local of the Week - Jen Rivara

Jen is a New Yorker who was born and raised in New York and is currently a graduate marketing student at Fordham University, Lincoln Center Campus.

Her favorite spot in Hell's Kitchen is Pio Pio 8, which is a restaurant that serves amazing Peruvian food. The 40-foot long marble bar offers plenty of space. The drink menu includes pisco cocktails made with fresh juices and marinated fruits, as well as white and red sangrias.

"As a native New Yorker, there are certain restaurants that make your favorites list. Pio Pio 8 in Hell's Kitchen is one of them for me. They serve the most amazing, delicious, Peruvian food at several locations throughout Manhattan and Queens. If you've never had Peruvian food before, there will certainly be something for you on the menu. Things to try are their classic Rotisserie Chicken, Ceviche, or Lomo Saltado, a popular stir fry dish served with french fries. Oh, and don't forget the sangria!"  - Jen

Restaurant of the Week: Ippudo Westside

Looking for an excellent plate of ramen or maybe even pork buns? Look no further, Ippudo has you covered. The pork buns here are honestly some of the best I have tried. Furthermore, no matter which ramen dish you decide to choose, you can be guaranteed you will leave happier than you came in.

NEIGHBORHOOD OF THE WEEK: Hell's Kitchen, NYC

Hell's Kitchen is filled with restaurants, coffee shops and music venues galore.

There are always concerts happening in the city and one of the best locations for concerts is Terminal 5 where I personally went for a Hip-pop concert last night. This place is ideal for fans to interact with the artists, since it is not that big, allowing fans to interact with the artists performing.

Highly recommend you guys to check their event schedule on their website. Hopefully, you can have fun just like I did!

The Show is a … galaxy of colliding worlds. Nearly every booth provides a glimpse into some areas of visual culture, from Egyptian antiquities to American folk art to postwar Italian art glass.    —The New York Times
